The Ruth Realty Company was incorported (Oregon) by a railway syndicate in 1908 as the Ruth Trust Company (its name was changed in 1913) for the purpose of handling townsites and other real property along the lines of the United Railways Company. It was acquired by the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway in 1909. The Rexford, Mont., station of the Great Northern Railway was established in 1903. It was closed in 1972 when the railroad was rerouted due to the flooding of the area behind the Libby Dam.
